urban void

In pursuit of higher degrees of wilderness within an architectural condition, one might approach this from the most difficult angle, that of the antithesis of wilderness – urbanity.  So how does one create an urban void that cannot be subsumed/consumed by developers?  Pave paradise and put up a parking lot!

Or, in a more contemporary sense, perhaps is a bicycle parking garage?  Or, one of those soft cars designed by Mitchell Joachim?
